Cargas Named #17 on the List of 100 Best Places to Work in PA

Lancaster, Pennsylvania – December 4, 2017 – Cargas Systems, an employee-owned business software and consulting company with nearly 100 employees, was named #17 on the list of 100 Best Places to Work in PA in the small-sized company category. The award is a prestigious honor, recognizing the best places of employment in the state that are improving Pennsylvania’s economy and workforce. This is the 12th year Cargas has received this distinction.

Created in 2000, the Best Places to Work in PA list is a partnership between the Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania State Council of the Society of Human Resource Management, and the Central Penn Business Journal. Winners are selected based on a review of the company’s workforce policies, practices, philosophies, systems, and demographics and the results of an employee survey evaluating employee satisfaction. To qualify, companies had to be a for-profit or nonprofit business, publicly or privately held, in business for at least one year with at least 15 employees working in Pennsylvania.

“The purpose of our employee-owned culture is to foster an environment where team members love to come to work and are invested in the success of our company,” said Chip Cargas, Cargas Systems’ Founder & CEO. “Receiving this recognition for the twelfth time proves we are succeeding with that purpose, even as our company grows and we add new employees to our team.”

An alphabetical version of the list was released in September. The final ranking of the companies was revealed at a celebration dinner on Thursday, November 30 at the Lancaster County Convention Center in downtown Lancaster and can be found on the Team Pennsylvania Foundation’s website.
