Cargas Systems Named to Inc. Magazine’s 36th Annual List of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies—the Inc. 5000

Lancaster, Pennsylvania – August 16, 2017 – Inc. magazine today ranked Cargas Systems number 3903 on its 36th annual Inc. 5000, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. Started in 1982, this prestigious list represents America’s most successful independent small and midsized businesses and has become the hallmark of entrepreneurial success. Companies such as Microsoft, Intuit, Under Armour, Pandora, Timberland, LinkedIn, GoPro, Zillow, and many other household names gained their first national exposure as honorees of the Inc. 5000.

This year’s Inc. 5000 is based solely on percentage revenue growth when comparing 2013 to 2016, with minimum revenue requirements of $100,000 for 2013 and $2 million for 2016. To qualify, companies had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2016. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.)

With this criteria, the 2017 Inc. 5000 is the most competitive crop in the list’s history. The average company on the list achieved a mind-boggling 481% three-year average growth. The Inc. 5000’s combined revenue is $206 billion, and the companies on the list collectively generated more than 600,000 jobs during the past three years.
