Cargas Systems Named to Inc. Magazine’s 37th Annual Inc. 5000 List of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies

Lancaster, Pennsylvania – August 15, 2018 – For the second year in a row, Inc. magazine named Cargas Systems to its annual Inc. 5000 list, ranking the company 4670 for 2018. Started in 1982, the Inc. 5000 is the most prestigious ranking of the country’s fastest-growing private companies and has become the hallmark of entrepreneurial success. Companies such as Microsoft, Dell, Under Armour, Pandora, Timberland, LinkedIn, GoPro, Zillow, and many other recognizable brands gained national exposure as honorees of the Inc. 5000.

“Only one in three companies have been named to the Inc. 5000 two times,” said Nate Scott, Cargas Systems’ President & CEO. “It is a testament to our incredible team and our sustainable growth strategy that we are able to reach new levels of success year over year. The 2018 Inc. 5000 is based solely on percentage revenue growth when comparing 2014 to 2017, with minimum revenue requirements of $100,000 for 2014 and $2 million for 2017. To qualify, companies had to be US-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2017. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.)

With this criteria, the businesses on the 2018 Inc. 5000 saw record results, achieving 538% three-year average growth. The Inc. 5000’s combined revenue was $206.1 billion in 2017, and the companies on the list collectively generated more than 660,000 jobs during the past three years.
