Cargas Named #9 on the List of 100 Best Places to Work in PA

Lancaster, Pennsylvania – November 30, 2018 – Cargas Systems, an employee-owned software company with 120 employees, was named #9 on the list of 100 Best Places to Work in PA for 2018 in the medium-sized company category. The award is a prestigious honor, recognizing the best places of employment in the state that are benefiting Pennsylvania’s economy and workforce. This is the 13th year Cargas has received this distinction.

“Cargas was founded on the vision that creating a great place to work attracts talented and motivated employees who in turn are committed to the company and deliver exceptional customer service,” said Nate Scott, President & CEO. “This award confirms we are living up to that vision and challenges us to continue to do so as our company grows and we add new employees to our team.”

Created in 2000, the Best Places to Work in PA awards program is one of the first statewide programs of its kind in the country. The program is a public/private partnership between Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania State Council of the Society of Human Resource Management, and the Central Penn Business Journal.

Winners are selected based on a review of each company’s workforce policies, practices, philosophies, systems, and demographics and the results of an employee survey evaluating employee satisfaction. To qualify, companies had to be a for-profit or nonprofit organization, publicly or privately held, in business for at least one year, with a facility and at least 15 employees working in Pennsylvania.

An alphabetical version of the list was released in September. The final ranking of the companies was revealed at a celebration dinner on Thursday, November 29 at the Lancaster County Convention Center in downtown Lancaster and can be found on the Team Pennsylvania Foundation’s website.
