Problems Aligning 1099 Forms in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

If you’re having trouble aligning your 1099 forms in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and have already tried to fix it by tweaking the RDLC, check your printer settings.

The default 1099-MISC layout in Business Central is correctly aligned for the federal form, but depending on your printer settings, it may not print correctly.

Make sure your printer is set to Actual Size in the Page Sizing & Handling section of the settings. This is not the default setting on most printers, and using any other option may cause your forms to print incorrectly. The printer scaling will also impact any changes you’ve made to the RDLC.

We successfully printed a customer’s 1099-MISC forms using the Actual Size printer setting and the default Business Central layout.
