Dynamics 365 Sales License Options

Dynamics 365 Sales is priced using a subscription model where you pay a monthly license fee for each user. Here’s an overview of the functionality of each license, along with the pricing.

Team Member License

$8monthly / user

Sales Professional License

$65monthly / user

Sales Enterprise License

$95monthly / user

Relationship Sales License

$162monthly / user

Team Member license. At $8 per user per month, this is the most inexpensive license available for the Sales app. This license provides read-only access to the entire application and allows users to complete a limited list of actions, like running reports, tracking time, and completing approvals.

Sales Professional license. The Sales Professional license gives you core functionality like opportunity management, sales planning, and performance management for $65 per user per month. This license works well for small or midsize businesses that follow a straightforward sales process.

Sales Enterprise license. The Sales Enterprise license gives you advanced functionality like advanced customization and extensibility, embedded intelligence features, and advanced sales force automation for $95 per user per month. This license works well for large organizations that follow a complex sales process.

Relationship Sales license. This license adds Linkedin Sales Navigator to a Sales Enterprise license for $162 per user per month. This is a great option if your team frequently uses Sales Navigator to build business.

Other Dynamics 365 CRM Apps

In addition to the Sales app, you may be interested in implementing one of Microsoft’s other CRM apps. When you purchase multiple apps, Microsoft gives you a break on the pricing. Think of it as a “Buy One Get One XX% Off” deal. Once you purchase licenses for the Sales app, you’ll pay $20 per user per month for the Customer Service and Field Service apps.

Instead of paying a per-user price, your subscription cost for the Marketing app is based on the number of contacts you have. You’ll pay $1,500 a month for 10,000 contacts and $250 more per month for every 5,000 contacts you add. So if you have 15,000 contacts, your monthly subscription will be $1,750.

Dynamics 365 CRM Implementation Pricing

Dynamics 365 CRM is an extensive solution that can be configured to match your unique business processes. You’ll need the support of an experienced implementation partner to help you set up the software to best meet your needs so you can get the most out of your investment.

Implementation of a CRM product like Dynamics 365 typically includes system setup and configuration, migration of your legacy data, and user training.

Your implementation costs will vary depending on your chosen Microsoft partner and your needs as a business. Microsoft’s AppSource shows the range of implementation services and prices available.

For example, a straightforward quick-start implementation of the Sales app only, using the software as it is out of the box without tailoring it to your specific needs, might cost $3,000. A more complex implementation of multiple apps that involves tailoring the software to your processes could cost as much as $25,000 or more.

A good industry average implementation cost estimate to use for your initial consideration is $15,000. Be sure to consult any potential partners about their costs before committing to an implementation.
