Dynamics 365 Sales 2023 Release Wave 2 Features
Learn more about the features coming to your Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution.

Microsoft’s second release wave for Dynamics 365 CRM is live in October, introducing exciting new features and user experience enhancements. We’ve broken down the Microsoft 2023 Wave 2 Release Update document to detail the most important features now available in the CRM.
Numerous AI Enhancements with Copilot
Microsoft is leveraging the power of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in its latest software updates, with many new features coming from Copilot. This embedded AI program streamlines productivity for CRM users across countless processes and workflows.
Prepare for Meetings with AI-Generated Notes
Users don’t need to set aside significant time for pre-meeting planning. Copilot’s AI-generated meeting prep tool makes it easier than ever to pull key data points from the many systems and sites used throughout the sales process. Copilot organizes data from Dynamics 365 Sales and other tools like Outlook to give sellers the relevant data they need.
Stay on Top of the Sales Pipeline with AI-Generated Summaries and Actions
If users want to know the latest on an opportunity, gauge a lead’s progress, or save time on email follow-up, the Sales module’s latest Copilot features will be helpful. Copilot pulls opportunity and lead data from disparate systems and team members into one summary, highlighting the most relevant data. Plus, act on this snapshot data with AI-recommended actions for email follow-up. Copilot manages due dates and to-do lists so users can spend more time personalizing their pitches.
Empower Simultaneous Selling with Multiple Sequences
This feature enters public preview in December 2023, but we wanted to highlight it as part of this release.
Sequencing is currently siloed in Dynamics 365 Sales. If Jim triggers a sequence on one of his leads, Jane can’t initiate a sequence on the same lead—even if it’s for a different purpose.
With multiple simultaneous sequences enabled, multiple sellers can collaborate on the same account without stepping on toes or locking each other out of specific processes. Plus, the feature gives users complete visibility of sequences, even if they aren’t the owner.
Enjoy a Refreshed Sales User Experience
Dynamics 365 Sales might look a bit different with the October release. Microsoft has restyled many aspects of the software, including colors and shadows, for added visibility and more straightforward navigation. By making the software more visually appealing, Microsoft is also helping users accomplish more tasks in less time.
But it’s not just the visuals that got an overhaul—Microsoft has also refreshed field controls and process flows to provide a seamless experience for any user.
We encourage all CRM users to explore the software and acclimate to the latest visual and navigational changes.
