Dynamics 365 Sales 2022 Release Wave 2 Features

Learn more about the features coming to your Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution.

Microsoft releases two annual updates for its Dynamics 365 applications, introducing new features and user experience enhancements. We’ve broken down the Microsoft 2022 Wave 2 Release Update document to detail the most important features coming to the Sales application starting in October 2022.

Top Features in the October 2022 Dynamics 365 Sales Release

Seller Dashboard for Tracking Daily Progress

A new dashboard puts timely sales data at your fingertips. This dashboard features handy tools to monitor your daily progress, including activities across all your accounts, leads, and other contacts. You can also keep tabs on any previous conversations or activities in which you’ve played a role.

Email Validation to Improve Lead Engagement

The new email validation feature will improve data quality while organizing and updating information. Your administrators can check the validity of email addresses in your CRM to ensure that they are active and accurate. This way, you can spend less time worrying about bounce rates and engagement and more time personalizing your outreach.

Sequence Creation to Empower Sales Teams

The “Up Next” widget is available in any grid or form. This means sellers don’t have to click around the sales accelerator workspace when working on multiple leads, opportunities, and accounts. This keeps sequences organized and saves time for your team.

Features You May Have Missed: Improved Collaboration with Teams

A central theme in 2022’s first release was improving the connectivity of Dynamics 365 CRM Sales with Microsoft Teams. There are plenty of new features coming for those who use both solutions, including:

  • Embed teams chats in working records. These allow your team to edit records alongside colleagues from the Teams chat window.
  • Automatically add users via chat-to-record link. With this feature, past conversations are visible to new chat participants, and users can update records from the chat.
  • Embed Teams calls in Dynamics 365. Make and receive calls from the Dynamics 365 Sales window while viewing relevant account data.
  • View records during meetings. View and edit records before, during, and after meetings so that the whole team can stay on track.
  • Display records within a Teams channel. You can now retrieve records and essential tabs without leaving Teams, which makes interaction easier.
  • Upload files to the Teams Channel from Dynamics 365. Encourage collaboration by making it easier for your team to access important files directly from Teams.
  • View dashboards in Teams chats and channels. Allow your team to view data simultaneously with customized, real-time dashboards embedded in Teams.
  • Record updates and notes during Teams meetings. Record updates and notes during meetings and receive AI-suggested actions based on previous behavior.
  • Connect customer engagement apps to Teams channels. Add users to Teams channels so they can view connected apps and relevant data.
