Learn more about the features coming to your Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution.
Microsoft releases two updates per year for its Dynamics 365 applications that include plenty of new features and user experience enhancements. We’ve broken down the Microsoft Wave 1 Release Update document to detail the most important features coming to the Sales and Marketing applications starting in April 2022.
Top Features in the April 2022 Dynamics 365 Sales Release
Predictive Scoring for Leads and Opportunities
Plenty of predictive scoring updates are coming to pipeline modules. With the latest release, users can monitor the impact of stagnated deals on forecasted data and measure the overall performance of the predictive scoring function. All of these updates will improve the accuracy of your predictive score to help your team more effectively plan for the future.
Predictive Relationship Intelligence
You can now use email interactions to discover accounts and contacts. Relationship Intelligence automatically pulls data from email conversations to establish accounts and contacts within your Dynamics 365 application. You’ll get a 360 view of the connections between your team and your contacts, as well as the extent of interactions between them.
Phone Camera Info Logging
Using your smartphone’s camera, you can now log information into Dynamics 365 Sales with ease. The camera extracts information from notes, business cards, and other resources to plug directly into your software, limiting manual entry and saving your sales team time.
Active Engagement Notifications
Whether you’re running a large campaign or doing some small-scale outreach, you’ll want to gauge the effectiveness of your emails. Receive a notification every time customers interact with a sent email—opens, forwards, reads, responses, and attachment downloads and link clicks. You’ll also be notified of any email send errors.
Outlook Integration and Template Improvements
The Dynamics 365-Outlook integration gained some more depth with the latest release. To limit how much sellers switch between windows, Microsoft has updated this integration to autofill important data. Additionally, you can now access support for email templates within the window, creating a one-stop-shop experience for creating and sending emails.
Features You May Have Missed
Some features from the 2021 Release Wave 2 are finally being released for public use. Here are a few features you might want to explore:
Collaboration with Microsoft Teams (Public Preview)
New enhancements have been made to the integration between Dynamics 365 Sales and Microsoft Teams. Users will be able to transfer data between the two solutions, enabling streamlined account updates and allowing for dynamic communications. You will even be able to make and receive Teams calls and join meetings from your Dynamics 365 module.
Mobile Application Quick Actions
Customer needs can come up anytime, so sellers may not have time to prepare for a conversation. The new quick actions shortcuts for mobile applications make it easy for on-the-go sellers to reference and update account information.
Improvements to Bulk Actions
Enhancements to bulk actions will reduce the number of clicks it takes to accomplish a task. Sellers can categorize tasks to complete all at once rather than individually. This feature includes a review and edit option to ensure activities are performed correctly.
