Learn more about the features coming to your Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution.
The second 2022 release for Microsoft’s Business Central solution launches in October, bringing BC users a slew of exciting new features. Let’s break down the top six new features coming to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in the second 2022 release.
Multiple remit-to addresses for vendors
If you’ve ever used Dynamics GP, you’ll recognize this feature. With the October release, Business Central expands the flexibility of its Accounts Payable module. You can set up multiple mailing addresses for vendors and select which locations you’ll send payments to each time you submit an invoice.
Several recent Business Central releases have enhanced bank rec features, and this release is no different. With these new bank rec capabilities, you can increase your match confidence by comparing your bank and check ledgers and adding new rules for reconciliation.
The October 2022 release supplies more configuration options for users of Business Central and OneDrive. You can choose the capabilities you’d like to connect, and the setup guide helps upgrade you from an older OneDrive or SharePoint integration.
Creating unique report layouts in excel is easier than ever. You can now create new Excel report datasets for selected data, including general ledger information and customer and vendor entries. This update was initially planned for the April 2022 release but needed some tweaking before it was ready for distribution.
More report layout options when running reports
If you use multiple report layouts, this is an exciting opportunity to enjoy a more flexible system. With the October release, you can easily customize the same datasets with different report layouts. All you have to do is select a different report style from the request page’s dropdown menu.
Business Central now serves companies with multiple businesses. Now, you can access an overview of the businesses in your environment and switch between them to drill down into data. You can group companies by environments, such as production and sandboxes, or multitask by opening simultaneous tabs for each business.
